I had an electronic ticket with Vayama to fly from Astrakhan to Erevan with my wife and 2 children. When we tried to board the airplane, we told that we cannot do so without paper tickets because they were not able to check to see if my Vayama tickets are for real. They could have called Erevan to verify that I had a Vayama tickets, but they did not. There were two men with cell phones. There was a gentleman by the name of Tigran who said I have to come up with 36,000 rubles to buy new tickets so I can fly. There is only one flight from Astrakhan too Erevan every week -- Tuesday. Mr. Tigran was the representative of Armavia airlines. I was able to use the dollars and downloaded some rubles and paid the 36,000 rubles to Tigran. Tigran took the money, put it in his packet and wrote out the tickets and we boarded the airplane. Tigran said that when we get to Erevan, the next day they will pay me back. I called him as agreed at 12 noon and he said I should meet him at the Armavia offices at 430 p.m. I did so. The woman in charge of the Armavia office informed me that it shows that I had paid for the ticket on line and that they will refund my money. In order to do that I was required to write a demum, asking for the refund and explaining how this all happened, I did so and now they are telling me that they are still considering it. I got ripped off by Armavia - I would never recommend this airline to anybody because they are not trustworthy.

Armavia airlines is the best Airlines in the world. The most efficient,modern, and most of all safe. Armavia doesn't have such a large fleet so it is capable of better maintainence of its new aircrafts. As well as customer friendly. Thank you Mr. Mikhail Bagdasarov.

I flew from Yerevan to Amsterdam with Armavia in 2005. Although it was very foggy in Armsterdam and we had to wait on the air some 45 minutes, because of the bad weather, the pilots of Armavia did a great landing. Well done, pilots. Good luck-Armavia!!!!

how comes that Armavia has no flights to Teheran/Iran , using Airbus or Boeing ?
