Eco alarm: Armenian endangered wildlife is again under threat of hunt

An Armenian environmental organization is trying to stop the hunting of animals in Armenia that are registered in the Red Book of endangered species.

Ecolur Non Governmental Organization says that Ibex, a Russia-based hunting club, is organizing hunts in the Urtsasar mountains in which hunters pay to track and kill bezoar goats (3,500 euro), Armenian mouflon (4,000 euros) and Caucasian bear (450 euros).

Wow. What magnificent looking Bezoar. They must be protected. Respect for the environment must be in schools as well. Armenia isn't just the people and old churches, it's the pnutyun as well. Those are some impressive horns. No wonder hunters are going after them.

Hands OFF our animals, birds and trees. We need powerful Eco and animal protection NGO's and institutions in Armenia. Armenia without its animals, birds and trees will not be Armenia anymore. We forget that not only people, but also animals, birds and trees make Armenia Hayastan. All civilized countries treat (or, at least try to treat) their animals and eco-system well. This benefits not only them, but also people who live around them, because people live longer and healthier.

What a shame. We have to protect all animals in Armenia, specially those in the Red Book. The animals TOO who live in Armenia belong to our country. They have RIGHTS too. Let's these Russians go to their Russia and hunt there, if they can not live without this hunt.
