This "contest" was really just a show made to look like a contest. It became very clear that Eva was going to be the winner, not because her song was good, but because she was Eva and her sponsor paid on every level to make sure this was the outcome. I qualify this as I was at every taping, rehearsal and took notice that the producers and the director of the show invested the most time on Eva, her lighting, giving her the most time to rehearse, get her set just right and make sure she sounded the best. She had her own in-ear wireless monitors, where most of the other contestants were expected to use the monitors on the stage, which did not work well at all. Besides singing "Apricot Stone" during rehearsals at the opera the night before the show, she also rehearsed Sayat Nova’s “Tamam Ashkharh,” which is what she sang after announcing her the winner. No other contestant did this. That night she had well over 77 minutes of stage time to practice (we got bored watching and left), where most others had between 10 and 20 minutes, though we were told everyone was going to have 30 minutes stage time at each of two practices. The proof will show on May 27th at Eurovision, Oslo, where we will see where Eva places. If she gets 1st place or places 10th or 20th will tell us if in fact she was good or not and won based on her song, or won based on her wealthy sponsor.

Eva is very nice. Song is good too. I'm resident of USA. My 5 years old son, who likes Beatles, Maroon 5, Deep Purple and Yorgantz :), loved "Apricot stone" song, watched Youtube 20 times, loved Eva. Congratulations Armenia, good choice! Good Luck!

I will try not to insult anyone with my comment, but it's really hard. Nadezhda Sarkissian should tone her ambitions, and send Emy to local contests only. Although Mihran is talented, but only as a dancer, their song is extremely poor, the lyrics are primal and simplistic, there is no song. Ricky Martin and Madonna have favored this song? I have my doubts about their taste, if it is true. Mihran should dance, he could win many prestigious competitions. Now about Eva. I do not care who says what about her, but she has a presence no Armenian singer possesses. She is unprecedented. Eva's song is much more catchy than Emy/Mihran's choice. She is attractive, and even if she does not win, she will make millions remember the representative from Armenia. THe best choice from Armenia, and if this happened because of Moscow's Samvel -- long live Samvel --he has better taste than Ricky martin and Madonna taken together. Dear Eva, I do not care if you are half Armenian, and haven't lived in Armenia for a month --if you consider yourself Armenian, you are Armenian. We are proud of you. And those bazari lrber should stop chanting in front of opera -- they are so ridiculously funny, I could not help my laughter when I saw them --20 Nadezhdas protesting against Eva, for Amy. I hope Emy does not get traumatized, but her mother needs to understand, that finally a right choice has been made, and Armenia will not be embarrassed this time. Whoever wrote Eva's song--5+, except he/she overdid a little on the oriental motive just a little bit, but still-- a good tune to remember and whistle. It is a kind, enlightening song -- what kind of a song was Emy/Mihran's-- "degrading!!!!

I also had a problem with the sms but I was voting for Eva :)though Emy and Mihran were not bad either. What I don't like is the mass Emy and her mom are making out of this. Eva is a favorite that's for sure. The majority of people I know support her more then the other contestants so I am not surprised that she won. By the way as far as I remember this is not the first time that Emy's participating in Eurovision preselection and she failed to get to the final at least once in the past... leaving the stage or announcing about never coming back to Armenia is AT LEAST immature. Good luck to Eva!

Showbusiness in Armenia is in teriblle condition and Eva's success proves that. Emmy and her mother think that they are star, Actually they are when there is not any one else. Eva congratulations you were the best.

Our Family's SMS-s also were stopped and only February 15 we have received delivery reports and "sorry"es for not calculated SMS-s, which we sent during the first 5 minutes when the voting start. Eva will not take part in Eurovison - GOD will punish her very seriously, if she is not punished yet (her life is the approval of this). We love Emmy & Mihran, and there are the winners for us and for youths of Armenia. In this case Eva is worst than Azerbaijan was during Anush&Inga Arshakian's voting.

What is it about us Armenians not being able to accept the outcome of a vote? Emmy's team assumed they'd win. Thats the bottom line. Never assume, it makes an ASS of U and ME ! Personally, I preferred Emmy's track, whilst not amazing, the performance was great. However, it was clear from the start the Eva Rivas does indeed enjoy popularity both in Armenia and abroad. What Emmy's mum needs to remember is that not everyone is part of the elite team of showbusiness ego massagers, who just bounce off each other by creating mediocre music and expecting great success every time. If anything, this was a no from the Armenian public to the SAME faces, with the SAME parents, singing the SAME tune. Go home, and try again next year. Let Eva go, stop sayin "she's not a real Armenian", and accept defeat. Never assume, it makes an ASS of U and ME !

All the polls were predicting Eva's victory by the same margin. She was leading in esctoday with 32 percent against 16 of Emmy. So the ratio 6000 to 1400 is very reasonable. I would love to know the names of the juri members who gave Emmy the highest marks. Do they know what singing means?

Emmy has been TUNED in the USA, and the make-upers have made a SIRUSHO out of her, she would be a repitition, hence better have Eva there, at least she looks gorgeous

"These famous singers (meaning Emmy, Mihran, and Razmik Amyan, another participant of the contest) who usually have full concert halls have thousands of fans, and it is impossible that they have gotten so few votes,” Sargsyan says." What a stupid mentality..

The mom should be happy that her daughter was spared embarrassment at Eurovision. With her annoying voice she wouldn't even get 1,400 votes there. Razmik with his Indian song Love make me wet my pants wouldnt even qualify for Rabizvision. Maria with her rock music was totally out of place and everybody else.. I cant even remember. So, Eva really saved us from an embarrassment. Her song is very good, the music is good too and her voice is not bad at all. Plus, she looks good too!

Emmy had no chance. Her song was terrible. However, Eva Revas is lot better and will have more chance in Eurovision. This lawsuit is meaningless...

Finally, we have a good performer and a melodic, easy to remember, song to present in Eurovision! Eva, the winner of the contest, is truly a far better performer than ANY of the candidates. Obviously, mom and dad of "Emmy, the star" are upset.
