Drivers complain: Gas price hike troubles commuter service industry

Drivers of vehicles using natural gas (butane), including a majority of taxis and minibuses, fear that the rise in the tariff announced last week and effective April 1 will have a negative impact on their livelihood.

If we all want to be less affected by the gas price hikes and also less dependent of this commodity, most commuters should use transit systems if possible or should form a carpool. I tried the driving cost calculator on the carpooling network and I was amazed to see how much we can spend per year by driving our car alone : http://www.carpoolingnetwork.com
