Analysis: What are the disadvantages of applying Kosovo's example to Karabakh's independence?

The decision by the UN International Court of Justice, The Hague, announced on July22, according to which Kosovo’s proclamation of independence does not contradict international law, became the news of the day in Armenia where such a decision is believed to nullify Azerbaijan’s claims that the Armenian nation cannot gain independence twice and have two states.

Pasha, as you said, it is all about politics and interests, the west wanted to weaken Russia in Europe, they took down Yugoslavia, it is very simple. if the west wants to weaken Turkey some day, Armenia will get justice... the west doesn't care much about religion, it is about interest and plans for the future so they say dominating the world.... why is all the fuss on Iran then....

The difference is that Milosevik stood for honesty and integrity in defiance of world superpowers, whereas aliev is a two faced whore to both the US and Russia. Milosevik stood for unity and socialism when the world (Germany and US) wanted a divided Yugoslavia and no socialism. Aliev stands for oil sales to US/TUrkey and gas to Russia. That's the difference. Oh, and of course the KLA were terrorists to the muslims and Serbs and wanted by Interpol for drugs trafficking and mafia-related crimes long before the US made Europe forget their roots whereas Artsakh was an indigenouss, grassroots uprising for self determination. But who, after all, cares for justice?
