“Alarming”: Armenia scores low on corruption index

According to the Transparency International Corruption Perception Index (CPI) for 2005, Armenia is one of 70 countries (of 159 surveyed) in which the level of corruption is “alarming”.

The Transparency International (www.transparency.org) index of corruption reflects the views of local and foreign businesspeople and analysts, and is based on the results of 16 public opinion surveys conducted by 10 independent research centers.
