Attracting torists is not easy today.. Arrival of a tourist is the first step but Armenia should try with good service, fair prices and hostility to "win" the tourists. without creating two “societies” or “worlds” one for tourist and another one for locals… in this case a tourist can not enjoy his holiday!! Every year when I visit Armenia I have a lot of fun and at the same time a lot of pain and sorrow.. Pain and sorrow because of impotence of some officials and business owners and because disinterest from a part of the society This is not wrong when Armenians spending there holidays out side Armenia but when each year 50 000 traveling to Georgia and another 50 000 spending there holiday in Antalia .. there is A LOT OF wrong with service and prices in Armenia … Not everybody likes to spend his/her holiday near a beach - Armenia doesn’t need the kind of Tourists who travels to Antalia or Thailand. Better do not “destroy “ the remaining part of Sevan. We have to save Sevan not only for us but for the next generations. The water level of Sevan should reach the level as it was 60 or 100 years a go…. - Armenia needs Tourist like the one who travel to Switzerland or even China. If Armenia wants to atrack Armenia has fist of all to collect the garbage, which you see next to the president palace till Iranian or Georgian border . - The air pollution in Yerevan is alarming the city is just too noisy. One of the reasons is: The divers have one foot on accelerator pedal and the hand on buzzer -One can visit the beautiful Sergei Parajanov house and museum but better no to look in direction Hrazdan reviver .. one can visit the beautiful museum of Sardarbatd .. have a nice chat with women working in “café or garden” but better not to ask if there is a WC -People from Diaspora should not pay for a service more than the locals would pay for a service! MR. Robert Kocharjan , yes in Yerevan there are a lot of cafes but how many percent of Armenians living I Armenia can pay the prices ? -This is ugly while arriving to the airport each “taxi” driver has is “private agent inside the terminal and out side terminal … they don’t live you alone (are a pain in the neck)!! -corruption has become a kind of widespread disease in many cafes one has to check the bill twice … - many waiters are working in tourism season but still they should be a bit polite and communicative and be open for compliment and critic and don’t take the dishes from the table as while the last portion is still in you mouth Only we all together can with join effort make Armenia more intressting for evrybody for this hard work is neede and healty critic only mony can not solve the problems

You guys just need transfer the money for your tickets (etc) to Armenia to repair the potholed roads ..build better hotels, to hold training for waiter/waitesses to raise the salary of police etc latter you can visited the “paradise” which you imagine vartan , germany

Armenia can do well by learning from Turkey. The Turkish tourism sector offers outstanding value and service. Turks are seen as a welcoming people by Russians, Ukrainians, Brits, Germans, French and Italians. Even by Armenians. 50,000 Armenians are expected to spend vacations in Antalya this year

Please, please do not brag about the rise of tourism. Most of my patriotic-benevolent friends who have been to Armenia unfortunately swear never to come back. Patriotism is stretched to a limit. The rude waiter/waitresses, potholed roads, police harrasment, expensive meals at restaurants with limited or no menus...and expensive hotels or primitive Apts....? We shall NEVER give up to improve the above. Keep writing about it. Hachoghootyun
