I welcome Sargsyans initiative and I hope both the president of Turkey and the Turkish players will enjoy their stay in Armenia. I hope I´m wrong, but it seems to me that Dashnaks don´t seem to understand the principles of politics and diplomacy. They act more like an activist group.

its too sad, a person who refuses the Genocide fact should visit my city and have some fun watching Soccer and maybe having fun with armenian girls(the turks like it). History didnt teach us, we never learn.. we just want better cars more xorovadz to eat there isnt any moral anymore - \"he turkey did the crime of killing 1.5 million people? - ohh forget it, its better, we will open the tradeways and live happy Armenians have no shame!! I believe that if some one will kill his family he will forget about it in 10 years and try to make trade with the killer. There isn\'t Armenia left any more, its just the name.. but the fact is that a high percont of population are Turks even if they can speak armenian. Shame to dashnaks they are TOO PASSIVE! they are making just a stupid show...

I wonder which of the two men is more dangerous for Armenia? Gul or Serj? I think Serj is way more dangerous. He is corrupt, incompetent and has (with his pal Robert) sent away almost as many Armenians from their lands as the Turks did.

Turks need to start dialog with Armenia, the only reason why they do it is coming elections in US. I think, they have already forecasted that next president is going to be democrat and this time they won’t be able to fight against president and majority and parliament. Genocide is an tough headache for them. I think, this visit wont give much to Armenia but will help Turkes in future. Anyway, it is good that Gul accepted invitation.

Nobody thought this might be one of the biggest chance of showing the truth to the world? Think about on having the turkish president and the world televisation of the match. With just a few flags, a black brazalet in the arms, etc, we could reach to everywhere. This is also the chance to demonstrate that we are the opposite of a turk, uncivilized as we all know. Having a protest to the turkish president, will give him the excuse to come back to the country an say "armenians are barbarians". I think that the city must be prepeared to show him the development of the country and people they tried to annihilated. If we don't give him any excuse to avoid negotiations, recongnition, etc may be we can imporve armenia relations, economy, etc. I surely insist on having turkish genocide recognition. But please forget about asking for lands. What are we going to do with them? Expell all turkish living there? will the inhabitants will be now armenian citizens? Who of all the diaspora will go back there???

Dashnaks in Armena are being used by powerful ARF from Diaspora who couldn't care less about real today's problems of people livng and struggling for their exstance in Armenia. All they are worried about is genocide recognition and taking back lands and again at the expense of people of Armenia whose only dream is to move out of Armenia and to live lke "white people", just like Daspora does. But then again, Dispora is scoldng off all Hayastanci who leaves that corrupt, poor country. They scold off but don't move to Armenia themselves.Nice way of using people in Armenia by Diaspora Dashnaks.

It is correct to invite Gul to Armenia. Turks and Armenians are already talking at state level behind the scenes and thousands of Armenians are travelling to Turkish beach resorts on vacation. Turks are more welcoming than Georgians. Yes there is the issue of genocide compensation. Maybe this can be discussed in the future. If Turks are willing to come to Armenia with an open mind as presidents or ordinary citizens then this should be seen positively

"Lest we forget" our children will be subjected to the same atrociites as our grandparents and extended families, communities and our whole Ancient National Culture. Hayatanci! don't think the Turk will ever get civilized and you will be spared the sword of the Turk. Your today's "hangist" will become your tomorrow's inferno. May be you should read the historical records of what happened to our Nation from 1894-1923, especially read about the "the battle of Sardarabad" when Ataturk's army tried to steal the last sliver of land God had left for Armenia and Armenians to survive because God has no intention of having one of His chosen Nations anihilated as the plans of three succesive Turkish Governments had. God does have greater purpose and plan than apparent for letting Turks "Native Cleans" ninety percent of Historical Armenian Land of it native population. I hope you can read English or have someone translate this to you. I forgive your ignorance and God bless you and teach you the truth.

Inviting Gul with no preconditions is the equivalent of playing patsy to the Turkish government. If the Dashnaks are the only ones who are protesting this visit, and taking a hard line by seeking to delay diplomatic relations between countries until genocide acknowledgment, atonement, and restoration are in the works, then Getse Dashnaksutiune.

I would go a bit further in stating that acknowledgment and atonement are the necessary ingredients to a visit from Gul. That atonement requires the Republic of Turkey to accept its culpability as the successor state of the Ottoman Empire and to begin the process of disgorging itself of its ill gotten gains from that Genocide and its aftermath. This includes the return of the usurped Armenian territories internationally recognized to be part of the first Republic of Armenia....

If we listen to dashnaks, we will never get anywhere.
