Failure to Comply: Hammarberg critical of Armenia’s response to PACE resolutions

The Council of Europe’s commissioner for human rights voiced tough criticism about the ongoing investigation of Armenia’s post-election unrest and the country’s general (lack of) compliance with two relevant resolutions of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) as he spoke to media towards the end of his three-day visit over the weekend.

At a press conference in Yerevan Saturday, Thomas Hammarberg expressed his displeasure about the course of the process in Armenia.

Dear Tigran...regarding Hanrapetakan Guru Galust Sahakyan comment...I think his comment does not need any additional comment. He is absolutely right. Even if the EU will exclude Armenia from all intornational organizations, then it should not harm the business of "Amenayn Hayots Marshrutkapet"...for him...there is no difference, since this gentleman has a mentality of a "dispatcher".

Yeh, Armenia will be deprivded of its voting rights. So what? These guys in power in Armenia are not normal civilized people who care about being part of the civilized world. They just want to steal and kill. As long as they can do that, who cares about a bunch of clowns sitting in Brussels or Strasbourg and giving opinions about them.

Wanna know what the Hanrapetakan Guru Galust Sahakyan commented on this, listen on: http://www.rferl.org/listen/ondemand/bd/ar/ar-default.asp (17:00) in short: "yah, but don't think it matters.. I mean even if they kick us out of Europe, so what?" To remind you this is the response of the leader of the Hanrapetakan party who is Serj's party and the one in Power... I leave the judgements to you

Mr. Hammarberg is either naive or too much optimistic. This government did everything possible and impossible to kill the process and what should happen in next month? I think the best solution is to exclude current Armenian government and president from all civilized international organizations... This is a government that kills its citizens and full-stop. Mr. SS and RK should go to Hague.
