@Me-Me Yes everyone is free to do what they want but you are staying away from Armenia for the wrong reasons. Disaporans are everywhere in Armenia and doing business. I can tell you from my own experience. Get a good lawyer, accountant start a business, pay your taxes and it is no different than doing business anywhere in the world. When was the last time you were in Armenia? You need to come back.

The only way Armenia will change for the better is when true patriots,in Armenia and the diaspora, work hand in hand for the common good. This can't be done from the outside. You have to be in it to win it!!!!!

@Sos Everybody is free to choose the way he/she likes to help Armenia and the people! I have no illusion. Currently I can best help Armenia by staying a way from “Armenia of oligarchs”. This Armenia of Levon & Serjic & Robert has just becomes a burden for all patriotic and ordinary Armenians, especially for the Armenian Diaspora. These Is just a matter of time till all these bandits and ugly “politicians” around Serjic and Levon make Argentinean businessman and even S. Aznavour to give up…! . These authorities are only in people like K. Kervorkian interested: The logic of authorities/bosses is : “give us your money, stay away from Armenia and “shut up” do not demand or expect anything .. we are able to spent your miney instead of you” .. And believe me Levon with his stupid speeches is just one of many biggest evils, which we have to deal with!!

@ Yes (me-me) I am born in the diaspora and my family had the guts to pack up and leave for Armenia in the dark days (90's). You state you are paying taxes in Armenia and supporting two families? Thats a good one. I am sure they have zero liabilties here, unlike you who lives in a country based on credit and they probably have a couple of cars and nice clothes for the kids and are probably employed here also. Good luck in the Good Ole USA. You are living in a third world banana republic. COme to Armenia which is ethnically pure instead of trying to feel Armenian by sending handouts to your so-called families in need. Straighten your "mental" problems. Armenia is for all Armenians!!

Dear Sos, I know what I am fighting for! I am afried by moving to "your Armenia , Armenia of Levon and Serjic" I would risk my Armenian nationl identity! Your comments are insulting! Armenians like me borne in Diaspora can almost in no way be proud or identify itself with these Armenia of Levon , Serzh and Robert and so on ! I cannot prevent all this untalented politicians to not be appointed in high posts ! I am paying taxs in Armenian and securing the income of at least two families. Nothing special but I am afraid I will not be able to continue even this ..due to irresponsible authorities andeven opposition! I have even tried to move to Yerevan, but like many Diaspora Armenian I have problem with the mentality of big part of officials and with the mentality of a certain group of people so on. The same bad /ill mentality of a part of people from Armenia, who moved to US /EU are destroying, whatever Diaspora has achieved (above all respect!) through hard work in the last 80 – 100 years! I am still worry about my relatives who moved for ever to Yerevan and started making investments… ! There are Armenians – like Hrand Dink- who prefer to stay in Diaspora and even in Turkey by even risking to be killed by a Turkish ultra nationalist rather to move to Armenia and witness so much injustice and most probably be killed by a criminal or to exaggerate it “in some way by a Turkyfied Armenian” . As did it happen 3 weeks ago to a Diaspora businessman – many other less important businessman did or are giving up- authorities and so called “Levonacasn” are in no way worry about this! The only good news which came in the last years out of Armenia was: Armenia is taking part in Eurovision! Starting from 2008 a lot of Armenia servicemen in duty took refugee by Turk-Azeris. Nobody is asking from this officials and so called opposition- like Levon- How comes this? What are we doing? And Where should lead out society all these criminal and illegal actions. Thin twice before replying to comments posted!

@Yes (Me-Me) Come to Armenia, become a full citizen, pay taxes, vote and then make these outlandish, ridiculous demands you are blabbering.

DEMAND: a) General Amnesty b) Recognition of the independency of Arstakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) c) A new law on media and a new cancel for regulation of electronic media, with representatives of political parties and NGO´s as members of the commission on media! d) Renaming of the Republic of Armenia to Republic of East Armenia! e) Talking and giving of any kind of bribery in the Republic of East Armenia should be punished by law! f) Reduction of the member of parliamentarians in the national assembles to 100 or 90 people- reduction of member of ministers and costs ! g) Creation of a Senate for "all Armenian issues" which should have 60 members (30 form Armenia and 30 members from Diaspora) h) Change of electoral codes. And new Parliamentary election i) "Forced" re-unification of the two national churches by a law and a demand/appel for the reducation and control of spending in Diaspora communities (as an example: Why does a church in a small town in US need a expansive "iron" door, where there are many kids in Armenia who have no shoes and booksand many other monuments in need of repair ! Shame on all these irresponsible clergymen and community leaders in diaspora . There are many churches in Asia with no Armenians left to open the doors at all, NOTHING LERNED!? ! j) The President of the Football Federation of Armenia should act according with the interests of whole Armenian people! Armenian national football team should not go to Turkey and refuse to play against Turkey at all!! Boycott of the planed return match against Turkey planed for the end of 2009. If Turkey is still not opened till Okt. the Turkish/Armenian boundary WITHOUT any pre conditions and refusing of Turkey from blackmailing and threats against Republic of East Armenia!
