In 2011, a total of 29,400 vehicles were imported to Armenia – an increase of about 30 percent as compared to the 20,300 of 2010.
According to the State Revenue Committee of Armenia’s report most of the cars do not exceed $5,000 in value and less than eight percent are of Russian make.
The customs value of all imported cars makes $223 million, which indicates that vehicle import is in the third place among all products imported to Armenia.
The highest record of imports was in 2008: nearly 42,000.
