Had it not been for the repeated sinister interventions of the British government in the Ottoman Empire’s Armenian provinces since 1877, there would not have been massacres of Armenians in Western Armenia. The actions of the British government led inevitably to the terrible massacres of 1895-7, 1909 and worst of all the holocaust of 1915. (David Lloyd George, British Prime Minister.) IN the early 1920's, Dr. C. A. Gates, member of the British Foreign office noted that it was quite impossible to prevent massacres in Armenia except by the occupation of the Armenian provinces by Russian troops, which the British government was totally opposed due to British benefits in trade route considerations. The sinister British activities continue to this day with British Petroleum interests to penetrate Armenia to access central Asian oil & gas fields.

The report is well worth reading, as it adopts a logical and impartial approach. In carefully reading the various official documents, it has revealed the real motivation behind UK policy. The key conclusion is that the Foreign Office has repeatedly misled Parliament. Its advice to various ministers 'has been calculated to mislead parliament into believing that there has been an assessment of evidence and an exercise of judgment on that evidence'. In fact, the Foreign Office has not properly attempted to gather evidence impartially or assess it properly. Its policy has been motivated by fear of offending Turkey.
