Mostly valid points but the focus should be on domestic policy failures by Armenian administrations. Mainly corruption at many levels in the state and the authorities' failure to defend the rights of all citizens and provide social justice and basic necessities of life. Hundreds of thousands of Armenians have left the country, many thousands to Turkey. "Armenia, that ancient civilization deprived by the tragedies of yore of its capacity for contemporary statecraft" Here's a question for Mr Hovanisian: Why were Armenians struck by "tragedies" and not the Ottomans? What if we should replace "tragedies" by policy failures through the centuries by Armenian rulers and kings, and failures by Armenians to help each other and to work for a strong country?
