I applaud and thank all Turks like Deniz. As more people in Turkey begin to think like Deniz, there is a real possibility that Armenia and Turkey can become friends

Hello from Canada and may all my ancestors who perished in 1915 in the Armenian Genocide rest in peace. I was born in Istanbul and emigrated to Canada in the 1950s and today there were tears in my eyes that brave Turkish people are willing to face criticism and stand up for the truth. Regardless of what history says in Turkey, the Genocide did happen, millions of Armenians were slaughtered in ethnic cleansing and the wounds are still felt by generations of Armenians born after the Genocide. Armenian wounds will heal and Turkey's reputation will also be elevated when Turkey, its government and people who may still live in denial accept history.

I'm happy to hear that some Turks are finally brave enough to state that the Armenian Genocide has happened. Historians and foreign countries have already stated that fact. Turks who are unwilling to accept past history are living in denial and those who have accepted the Armenian Genocide are not agent provacateur of foreign nationals nor of Armenians - they are simply human beings with conscience. I appeal to Turks who do not accept the events of 1915 to read unbiased evidence of the Genocide and I further applaud Turks who have seen history as is. The truth will heal the Armenian wounds and forge the lost friendship between the two peoples. May all my ancestors who perished in the 1915 Armenian Genocide rest in peace.

I have studied the Armenian case very well and founded that that Armenians were misused by major powers of the time in order for to weaken the Ottoman Empire. The armenians acted merely as a tool and they have caused many hardship to their Muslim neighbours as the men were on fronts defending the Empire the Armenians took advantage and killed and burned many Muslims. Therefore they had to be relocated to other parts of the Ottoman Empire for to preserve internal order of the Empire. I suggest for the Armenians for to study their history with objective open mind. Your ancestors caused and deserved whatever happened to them. If the same should happen now anywhere in the world they would be excuted openly. Stop being the victim while you are the criminal! There are some naive Turks in Turkey who believe anything but the truth, and there some donkeys like hereonder such as D. S. Reality is what it is and I feel very sorry what the Armenians did to my defendless ancestors and I will never ever forget this nor forgive this. If the time arises again I promise I will revenge this. Maybe when Azerbaijan will launch a war than I will certainly engage in this war. Hopefully it will happen soon.

I'm happy to hear that A.P. and Ray this is fully from my heart. But don't get me wrong, people like me are still a minority in Turkey. Majority of Turks will call me a traitor. But we are growing. With internet, now people can reach criticisms of official history and they see how weak the arguments of nationalists are.

THANK YOU Deniz...you heal my wounds with your words. Those who challenge the military and nationalists do a world to heal, at times, merely by being open to discuss our pain. For some of us, that is enough. In time, we will need to challenge our nationalists as well, but we are not as strong as NATO-Turkey.

Hello from Turkey. A few years ago, I was a denier too. They are teaching us lies in school. Thanks to the internet we are now learning the truth. I guess in 10 years, everybody in Turkey will learn this dark past. I apologize to all Armenians, I'll do everything I can for justice.
