Անհետացող անտառներ. պատճառը փայտանյութի ապօրինի առևտուրն է

Հայաստանի անտառներին ու քաղաքների կանաչ տարածքներին հսկայական վնաս հասցվեց 1990-ականների սկզբի էներգետիկական ճգնաժամի տարիներին: 15 տարի անց հանրապետության անտառները կրկին վտանգված են, այս անգամ ապօրինի ծառահատումների, կոռուպցիայի ու փայտանյութի շահավետ առևտրի պատճառով:

Բնապահպանական խնդիրներով զբաղվող հասարակական կազմակերպությունները պնդում են, որ մինչ ուշադրության կենտրոնում էր հայտնվել 1992-1993 թթ. էներգետիկական ճգնաժամի պատճառած վնասը, Հայաստանի անտառներին ավելի մեծ վնաս հասցրեց արդեն ճգնաժամից հետո ձևավորված փայտանյութի շուկան:
