In some way i agree with Mark but fight against so many injustice and poverty in Hayastan and fight for justice for Armenian Genocide both are important! Beside this: there is –(above all authorities and politicians have) a mentality problem too! It is funny when some authorities are going to apologize because injustice done to Armenians who did return to Hayastan after WW I, FINE , but how about those “new-comers” from Diaspora who see so many injustice done by authorities to there “sister and brothers” boren in “Hayastan”? A long list of injustice, abuse of power and corruption which has reached to kindergarten and schools, almost no political culture are reason for many to regard all three regimes in hayastan (Levon´s, Robert´s and Serjic´regime) being ANT-ARMENIAN and inhuman! A couple months a go I read in Armenian news media, the head of one o f districts in Yerevan didn’t get “tourist visa” for US, while having home/property in US? Is this not funny!? There is saml group of people who plan within the heart of Yerewan “small district areas “ protected with gates and security personal, for people able to pay the heights prices!!

I don't understand the logic behind our insisting that Turks recognize the Genocide, when all the time, us, Armenians inflict pain and suffering on our fellow Armenians. Case in point, the rampant poverty in Armenia. Did you know that there are about 200,000 Armenians in Armenia that live like cattle? Live in huts? I'm sure you did not, because you were driving your Mercedes down the Mashdots street and doing 70km/hr, and the crooked policeman did not dare issue a ticket, because you are the son of such and such high level official. How dare we ask the Turk to recognize the Genocide, when the Genocide is continuing here in Armenia, this time on the hands of fellow Armenians. How long are we going to ignore the majority poor? Remember, out of the 32,000 soldiers in Armenias army, 31,000 come from dirt poor families. We owe them more than a hut. It should be illegal to drive Mercedeses, BMWs and other luxury cars in Armenia. Greed and crookedness are the national character of todays Armenia. Shame on us.

This is absuluty wrong to repeat again and again the recognition of Armenian Genocide by Turkey s is not a Pre- condition for Armenian: The recognition of Armenian Genocide by Turkey and other facts related to this crime cannot be regarded as a pre-condition. Such recognition by Turkey should be regarded NATURALLY as implicitness Armenian politicians should be more carefully regarding there statements!

I think that if Turkey were sure that mere aknowledgement would close that shamful page of the history, she will do that. However, I think it it's a matter of respect & honour for Armenian people & it's a fact and a truth that speaks for itself & there's not need for countries which are blinded by interests to accept that.

There are already some changes: "iron bars" around parliament building got a fresh colour, else there can not be even of take about “cosmetic reforms” The current Parliament is one of the worst “collections of Machos and businessmen” in the history of Republic. The new appointed parliament president is not better than Babken Araksjan from HHsh . So far he has just issued some “congratulations” above all regarding “international day for human rights” On the 60th anniversary of Genocide convention Armenian Parliament missed the chance to send a apply to the Turkish government and Turkish public Serjic Sarkisjan needs just another 2-3 months to get to know that a Turks remains Turk! The outcome of Serkiyan´s meetings with Turkish Islamo fascists in Ankara will not differ much from the outcome of Levon Ter-Petrosyan/HHsH contacts with Turkish Gray Wolfs (Racists)! Armenia and NKR should inform the world community that Turkey is the real conflict side to NKR! Armenia should correct the mistake of Levon- Who made Turkey a member of Minsk group ignoring the fact that Turkey is a conflict side to Karabakh. If Azerbaijan is refusing to speak to authorities in NKR, in this case Armenia should refuse speaking to authorities in Baku, because Armenia is already negotiation with Turkey (founder of republic Azerbaijani)

Dear Anchis> this parliament is not only without political 'backbone' whatsoever, there is another worrying sign that make's any proposal by lets say Jarangutiun (the only opposition party in the Parl.) even on matters of Genocide meaningless, as they would be "dead on arrival". Why? becuase of "authoritative reflex" of this regime; that is since it comes from the opposition then it should be rejected regardless of its merits ( wehter its about NK independece recognition, or Armenian Genocide, or non-smoking ban) why? becuase according to their mentality it is all about being the MATCHO, and if they give in to the opposition then that is the begining of their end! As an evidence; in the past 10 months no real dialogue has been met, no political prisoner being freed justly and with dignity, no compliance with PACE resolution... While this is understandable, as these guys sit on "water" not on "hard soil", they know their political, criminal life hangs in by a thread. but the consequence of such an unhealthy political dynamism is a cost we all pay.

Dear me-me, Absoltely agree with you, but there is one NO here. Armenian parliament is a completely depoliticized (with a few exception) body and they cannot take bold steps. They shelved the resolution to recognize NK right to independence or joining Armenia, they don't have the courage to make any political decision, they can only rubberstamp the legislation drafted by the government or a few lobbying groups within closely connected with the executive. Don't expect them to pass any document on genocide. I think unlike even these public figures they are even afraid to speak out on this subject let alone pass any resolution or make any demands.

- It would be correct and a good step if Armenian parliament once again at the beginning of 2009 calls to - or demands from- Turkey to accept the truth on Armenian genocide. Such a resolution could be put by the opposition in parliament for vote …
