Sunday April 22 Buenos Aires transferred the title of World Book Capital. On this significant occasion, the Ministry of Culture and Yerevan City Hall had organized various cultural events all over the downtown and schools of Yerevan, among them numerous exhibitions, song and dance, theatrical performances, poetry recitations and concerts. Thousands gathered at Republican Square for drawing and painting activities. The evening featured Triumphal March of Book film, water screened on the Swan Lake, and world famous tenor Andrea Bocelli’s solo concert at Liberty Square with the Armenian National Chamber Orchestra and Hover choir. Solemn ceremony at the porch of Matenadaran with 3D graphic and fireworks completed this eventful day.
