President Serzh Sargsyan will start a three-day working visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on February 9. The Presidential delegation comprises His Holiness Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian, and the Mayor of Yerevan Gagik Beglarian.

According to the Armenian president’s official website, within the framework of a working visit, the President of Armenia will meet at the Buckingham Palace with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. At his London residence, the President of Armenia will meet with the Britain’s Foreign Secretary David Miliband. He will also meet with Prince Charles.

At the Windsor Palace the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan will attend the reception and concert organized in the framework of the “Yerevan, my love” project, initiated under the auspices of Prince Charles and former Prime Minister of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. The project envisages renovation of four structures of historical and architectural value located at the center of Yerevan. Serzh Sargsyan will also meet with the representatives of the Armenian Diaspora, who will be arriving to London from all over the world to participate at the project’s launching ceremony.

On the second day of the visit, on February 10, the President of Armenia will make a statement at the Royal Institute of International Relations. In his statement, President Sargsyan will address issues related to the regional security, current stage of the Armenian-Turkish process of normalization, and the NK peace process.

At the Tate Modern Art Gallery in London, President Sargsyan will attend the opening ceremony of the exhibition of the artifacts dedicated to a prolific heritage of the celebrated Armenian-American artist Archil Gorki.

In London, the President of Armenia will give an interview to the Al Jazeera news network.
