Vote 2012: Citizens at relevant bodies abroad can cast ballots online


Members of Armenia’s diplomatic corps abroad and citizens working in companies in other countries that are registered in Armenia, will be able to vote in upcoming elections through an online process set up on the Central Election Committee (CEC) website.

Announcing the voting opportunity, CEC official Tatevik Ohanyan said that online voting will start nine days before the actual election day in Armenia at 8 a.m. (Yerevan time) and will be finish five days before the actual election day at 8 p.m. (Yerevan time).

At least 50 days prior, relevant offices should have submitted lists of eligible voters to the Passport and Visa Department. CEC will create a voting mechanizing for those citizens, while also removing their names from the general voting list.
