WBO, WIBF and WBA female flyweight champion Susi Kentikian retained her titles when her fight against Arely Mucino from Mexico was declared a No Contest 27 seconds into the third round. Kentikian representing Germany, by way of Armenia, suffered a cut on her scalp after an accidental clash of heads with her rival.

Kentikian (27-0, 16 KOs) and Mucino (11-0-1, 6 KOs) fighting at the Kongresshalle Schwerin, Germany, during the Universum Champions night on July 17 had exchanged punches in the opening two rounds of the scheduled 10-round bout only to see their third round of fighting end in a technical draw.

Before the referee stopped the fight, however, the 22-year-old Armenian looked the stronger fighter as she was giving Mucino, 21, all kinds of problems with her fast combinations and power shots.

The registered technical draw leaves Kentikian in possession of her titles.
