British Film Festival launches in Armenia

On March 22 (Monday) the 8th Annual British Film Festival was launched in Yerevan and will be on till March 26, initiated by the British Council in Armenia and the British Embassy to Armenia.

The opening ceremony of the festival (at 5:00 p. m., in Charles Aznavour Square) will be followed by the presentation of a film “Duchess” at Moscow Cinema’s red hall.

The festival, founded in 2002, aims to present the United Kingdom, its culture, lifestyle, and customs to the Armenian audience.

Six prize-winning films of British production will be presented during the five-day festival; after the presentation of one of them – “Bloody Sunday” – a discussion will be held with the co-producer of the film, Dan Malan, who has arrived to Armenia from the UK.
