Two Armenian servicemen were killed in Nagorno-Karabakh overnight as Azerbaijani forces reportedly continued to violate the current ceasefire regime.

According to Nagorno-Karabakh’s Defense Ministry, the victims are Tigran Poghosyan (born in 1992) and Aram Arushanyan (born in 1972).

A report says that on the night of April 26, the Azerbaijani armed forces used almost all types of artillery and military hardware in shelling Armenian positions, including mortars, rocket systems, grenade launchers and a tank.

The Azerbaijani side also reportedly fired 14 MM-21 (Grad) missiles at the town of Martakert and released 8 artillery shells in the direction of the village of Mataghis in the north of Karabakh.

“In order to neutralize the aggressive actions of the adversary, the Karabakh army resorted to preventive steps, delivering targeted strikes against its advanced positions and fire points, causing it losses of personnel and military equipment,” the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Ministry said.
