Armenia’s Prosecutor-General’s Office has rejected a terrorist act theory in last night’s bus explosion that left two people killed and seven injured in capital Yerevan.

Investigators consider a crime on “domestic grounds” despite finding traces of the trinitrotoluene (TNT) explosive on the scene.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee reported that a search was conducted and more TNT stuff, detonators and other devices were found in the apartment belonging to a yet unnamed suspect whose SIM card was found at the scene of crime.

The individual, investigators say, planned to hurt his relatives, but it is not clear whether he planned to do it on the bus or was just transporting the explosive materials when they apparently detonated.

The police have not yet identified the body of one of the people killed in the blast. It is not yet clear whether this is the body of the suspect. A DNA test has been appointed.
