Armenia’s new Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan (pictured far right) had his first communication with citizens – whose rights he is supposed to protect in his new capacity – at the site of regular weekly protests outside the government building in Yerevan. Tatoyan, a 34-year-old graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, until being installed by lawmakers in his new job earlier this week, served as Armenia’s deputy justice minister.
